Nature's Friend: The Gwen Frostic Story

"After a debilitating illness as a child, Gwen Frostic sought solace in art and nature.  She learned to be persistent and independent, never taking no for an answer or letting the expectations of the time define her,  After creating artwork for famous Detroiters and helping to build World War II bombers at the plant that inspired the Rosie the Riveter character, Gwen---already a well-known artist and business owner---moved to northern Michigan.  There, she dedicated her work and her ife to reminding people of the wonder and beauty in nature.

The art and writing of Gwen Frostic are famous in Michigan and around the world.  This is the story behind Gwen's beautiful work and legacy."
